It will go on record that Bob, "Robert" was one of the most comical guys I've ever met! Made an excellent room mate at college (Wellsville). I regret deeply that we never reunited, I wanted to many times but simply could not find him. To his family, Im very sorry for your loss. I know he was a sharp dood and he was very particular which I respected greatly as I am too. My wife & I had the honor of sharing a house with him in his 2nd college yr. What a great guy to spar with on all things mechanical! We would laugh, bitch & complain, joke around...alot of joking :) We would be furious at all the college politics together. We sat for our most improtant exams together which of course we studied so little for. He was a laymen intellectual, I know this bc it takes one to know one. We had some great times with him in a not so great time to be there. My girlfriend then, now wife, loved to cook for him because he appreciated a good home cooked meal. And he was a waays from home. We were fortunate to have him because he had to cross state lines and a long drive to join us at Wellsville. I remember the first couple weeks meeting him the 1st yr, we both wondered if we made the right decision haha. We stuck it out. Ill never forget the last day I saw Bob....movin out day in May 1995. Some how I knew it would be the last time I would see him but i refused to believe it. Lookin back now im so disappointed that we didn't stay connected. He really was such an all around great guy. I should have tried harder and if I have one message to say here is this.....if you have someone you need to get in touch with....stop putting it off, tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us! I remember meeting his parents on a couple brief occasions at Wellsville & it was clear where he got his patterns from! In closing, God bless ya good sir, Im thankful i did in fact get to know u for a couple yrs. Hope to see ya again, keep a seat for me, God speed!

Ginger, praying for you and your family. I have fond memories of living next door to Mrs Monz and the time Stephanie and I spend with you, Robert and Raymond on Long Island one summer as children. My heart goes out to you.

This is so very sad to hear. I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember my father, Brian Masterson, telling stories of Bob while they worked together at M-9 and I know Bob was always there for my father while father was battling cancer. I know how much comfort he gave to my father and others. I am grateful for all that he did for my father. I didn't know him personally but he seemed like an incredibly strong spirit. I'm so sorry that he was also unable to win his battle.

A.B. It was truly a pleasure and an honor to have worked with you in M-9 for a few years. My family won't forget your help after Hurricane Sandy, you were an excellent fireman, mechanic, and a true friend. I'll especially miss all the laughs we had while still getting the job done. Rest in Peace Brother you will be missed! -----The Buffalo Herd----

Most deep felt condolences.

Such a deep loss I feel since Bobby went on medical leave for good. He always looked after me, the engineer on my port side.
I will continue to call on Bob to look after me, forever on my port side. Godspeed AB!
Gone too soon, forever with me.

Ginger, Ray and all Bobby's family, sooo very sorry for your loss.
