Robert "Bucky" Albright

Robert L "Bucky" Albright, 78, of Copake passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Great Barrington, MA on December 30, 1942 to the late Harold and Mildred (Rogers) Albright.  Bucky worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Columbia County Highway Department for many years until his retirement.  In retirement, he managed to always keep busy by doing landscaping and caring for lawns. 

Bucky enjoyed many things like hunting, golfing, playing cards & cornhole, but most of all he loved spending time with his family; especially attending his grandchildren's sporting events.   He will be remembered for his zest for life, outgoing personality and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone at any time.

Robert is survived by his two daughters Anne Talar and Michele (Eric) Rose.  He was "Pop” to his three grandchildren, Jacob (Sarah) Talar, Charlie and Kylie Rose, and great grandson, Colton Talar.  Robert is survived by 8 sisters, Carol Clough, Helen Clough, Suzanne (Arthur) Coleman, Bernice Tripp, Elizabeth (Hank) Yole, Linda (Lenny) Jadenous, Joyce Concra, Kathy (Ronald) Dierkes and by five brothers  Arnold (Doris) Albright, Harold Albright, Timothy Albright, Roger Albright and Kevin Albright. He is also survived by his sister in law, Elaine Albright, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Leonard Albright. 

Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00pm at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake, NY. Entombment will take place privately at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
