Richard M. Jackson

Richard Jackson, 67, of Pine Plains, died Monday July 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1953 in Sharon, Connecticut to Morton W. Jackson and Rosalind E. Jackson. He graduated from Pine Plains High School.

A life long local resident, he enjoyed sports, mainly football. He received his Masters in History from Marist College. Rick was known for his “Size”, sense of humor and love of food.

In addition to his father, Rick is also survived by his six brothers; Ward (Marva) Potter, of Clinton Corners, James (Margo) Jackson, of Pine Plains, Brian Jackson, of Elizaville, Keith Jackson of Saudi Arabia, Marc (Amy) Jackson, of Chatham, and Dr. George (Lazitte) Yarzebski, of Shrewbury, Massachusetts; two sisters, Brenda L. Jackson, of Pine Plains and Debora Jackson, of Ancram; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Rosalind E. Jackson, and his brother, Ronald I. Potter, and uncle Irving F. Jackson.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be at the convenience of the family.
