Richard C. Hosier Sr.

Stanford- Richard C. Hosier Sr., 83, passed away on March 22, 2021 peacefully at his residence. He was born on October 27,1937 in Poughkeepsie to the late Charles and Arvillo (Cole) Hosier. Richard served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1963. He then went to work as a plumber for CB Strain before becoming a Pneumatic Technician for Honeywell until his retirement.  

Affectionately known as “Pop” his grandchildren were his world; he would do anything for them.  After his retirement, he could be found most days fishing with his brother-in-law Sonny, or puttering around the house.

Richard is survived by his wife Theresa, two sons; Richard C. Hosier Jr. and his wife Carol, and Jeffrey and his wife Donna. His five grandchildren, Kelly, Jason, Ellyn, Haley, and Matthew. Two great grandchildren, Sean and Azriel. In addition to his three sisters in laws, Cheryl Grant, Virginia Nasser, and Donna Neal. His fishing partner and brother-in-law, Albert “Sonny” Whiteley, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Dick was predeceased by one sister Sandra LaFrance.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 1 to 3 pm at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains, NY.
