Obituary

Richard Andrew Ashby Sr., 52 of Hudson, NY and formerly of Patterson, NY passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY.

Richard was born on July 27, 1970 in Mahopac to the late Richard Odell and Alice (Miller) Ashby.

Before his illness he had been employed in the produce department at Hannaford’s in Patterson.

Richard enjoyed woodworking, camping, fixing tractors and cars along with attending the races at Lebanon Valley Speedway.

Surviving are his daughter Allison Ashby of Hudson, his girlfriend Brenda Reilly of Hudson, his former wife, Genn Adams of Dover Plains and a brother Philip Ashby (Katherine) of Accord. He also leaves his granddaughters Shelby and Abbigail Ashby of Kingston, a sister in law Kathy Ashby of Accord and his mother in law and friend Tonya Hastings of Dover Plains along with extended family members and friends.

Richard was pre deceased by his son Richard Andrew Ashby Jr. and his siblings, Dale, Debra, Gloria, Mark and Donna.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral Homes of Copake NY.
