Michael J. Dorozynski

Michael John Dorozynski, 46, from Pine Plains passed away at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He was born in Poughkeepsie on September 16, 1975; the son of Thomas Dorozynski Sr. and Melva (Hedges) Jones.  

Michael graduated from Stissing Mt Jr/Sr High School where he was an “Ace” lefty pitcher for the Bombers. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. Michael had a great affection for friends and family. Being a kid at heart, his nieces, nephews and cousins were a big part of his life. He loved all of his family, and never hesitated to let them know. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone.

Michael is survived by his mother Melva, and his father Thomas Sr. (Patricia). His brothers and sisters; Thomas Dorozynski Jr (Jill), Tosca Sweeney (Edward), Jarrod Dorozynski (Tammy), Daniel Dorozynski (Christina), Kevin Dean, Kirstin Klebanski (Brian), Erin Kennedy (Patrick), Nicholas Salyer, his nieces and nephews; Cody, Brooke, Mikaela, Danica, Cruz, Elawyn, and Emilia, grandmother Madeline Dorozynski, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly.

Michael is predeceased by his grandparents Edythe and Frank Hedges, grandfather Julian Dorozynski, and his uncles Stephen Currie, and Melvin Bearden.

His spirit will live with his family, and in the woods hunting, where he was the happiest and held forever.

A time for sharing memories and offering condolences will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:30 PM at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main Street, Pine Plains. A brief service will begin at 2:30. Friends and family are encouraged to bring a story to share or a favorite memory.
