Marie C. Bereswill

Marie C. Bereswill,92, longtime resident of Stanfordville passed away peacefully on June 7, 2022. She was born in New York City to Joseph and Mildred (Agresti) Bereswill. After growing up in the city her family relocated to Stanfordville, where she has lived ever since. She took great joy in her gardens which provided fruits and vegetables that she would then can and store. She enjoyed working the land and farming. In addition to her numerous flowerbeds, with tiger lilies, Iris's and wild flowers. Watching the birds, deer and other wildlife around her home also brought Marie a sense of peace and enjoyment.

 Marie was a people person, that would help those in need until her health declined and she became more of a homebody. She was blessed to have a group of family, friends, and neighbors who made sure to take care of her needs and always keep a watchful eye over her.  
 

Marie is survived by her cousins, Roselle Brock, Linda (Kevin) Guiliano, Michael (Mindy) Brock and William (Nancy) Brock. 
 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June, 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 68 Poplar Avenue, Pine Plains. Inurnment will follow in Stanford Cemetery.
