George K. Conklin

Stanfordville- George K. Conklin, 66, passed away on April 5, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born on January 3, 1955 in Peekskill to the late Rose Travis and his father George Conklin. On October 27, 1973 he married Rose Schepis. Together they shared 47 years of marriage until her passing on March 24, 2021.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He started his career in the moving industry as a truck driver. In 1989 he and  his wife opened Lehto’s Relocation which alongside his wife, and their children ran the family business and is still in operation today. He was loved by many for his kindness and sense of humor.  Over the last 25 years George and Rose have enjoyed spending more time with family and friends on their beloved Cape Cod.  

George is survived by his devoted children, George A. Conklin, Susanne Conklin, and Jennifer M. Conklin- Tetor. His two adoring grandchildren, Aiden and Cadence Tetor.

Funeral services will be private at this time. A memorial service is being planned for later this year and a small service in Cape Cod to honor George’s wishes to be his wife, Rose, on the Cape.
