Corinne F. (Stang) Stickles

Corinne “Reenie” Frances Stickles, 56 of Copake, NY passed away on Friday November 18, 2022 with her family by her side after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer.

She was born on November 22, 1965 in Hudson, NY a daughter of the late Richard and Frances (Scholz) Stang.

Corinne was a graduate of Taconic Hills Central School in 1983 and later enjoyed a 27 year career there as a teaching assistant. She had a huge impact at Taconic Hills and was instrumental in keeping many children in school until graduation with her support and guidance.

She was a lifetime member of the Copake Fire Co. Auxiliary and had previously attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Philmont. Corinne was a volunteer with many organization’s while her children were growing up including both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She also enjoyed an occasional visit to the Saratoga and Rivers Casino with family and friends. Most of all she liked spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving family, husband Wayne Stickles of Copake, son Christopher Stickles of Copake and daughter Ariel Stickles of Denver, CO. She also leaves her sister and brother in law Pamela and Randy Van Alphen of Hillsdale.

Beloved “Aunt Reenie” to Yukina Sato and husband Tom, Alyssa Hammell and husband Bill, Mikayla Germann and late husband Kyle, Georgie Foley, Jake Foley, Meg Foley and Tommy Foley. In addition her great nieces and nephews, Karson, Kaleb, Uta, Hailey and Ryder along with several cousins and extended family members.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all that have assisted them through Corinne’s illness especially Krista, Heather, Lucy Ann, Joan and Julie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday December 4, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Hillsdale Firehouse, Route 22 in Hillsdale NY. A Service of Remembrance will commence at 3:00 PM.
