Clyda May Hobson Stern

September 21, 1939 - January 17, 2021 (81 years)

Clyda May Hobson Stern passed peacefully at age 81 on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Known for her gift of storytelling, Clyda charmed all those she met and found joy in bringing happiness to others through humor.  Some of her favorite pastimes were writing poetry and short stories to share with family and friends.  Clyda had a great love for animals and over the years had several pets who she adored.   Even on her most difficult days, Clyda had a get up and go spirit- always certain to put on make-up and look her best, so she could feel her best.  She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Clyda is survived by her son William Stern, granddaughter Clyda Stern, four sisters and a brother; she was predeceased by two sisters. She will also leave behind many dear friends who she treasured.

A Memorial Celebration will be held 12:00 to 2:00PM Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake NY 12516.  Burial to follow at Hillsdale Rural Cemetery, Hillsdale, NY 12529.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ASPCA or Veterans of Foreign Wars. tp those who may be waiting to visit by keeping your stay brief
