Hudson – Wayne Paul Brooks, 76, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at Fairview Hospital, Great Barrington, MA
Wayne was raised in Pine Plains on the family farm, BrookLynd, before taking on a career as a truck driver. He had worked for George Hildebrandt Trucking, Staats Dairy Transport and Columbia Transport.
Born February 20, 1946 he was the son of Howard and Juliette (Leduc) Brooks.
Wayne is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Thibault) Brooks whom he married May 22, 1993; five children, Howard Brooks, Kevin (Audrey) Brooks, Anita Cordato, Gordon Brooks, and Audrey Brooks; a daughter in law Tina Meccariello; two step-daughters Paulette Burkhart and Bobbie-Jo Wilson; 17 grandchildren, Daniel, Gina, Patrick, Hunter, Emily Jane, Katie, Greg, Emily, Andrew, Katherine, Nicholas, Jillian, Kimberly, Matthew, Christopher, Madelynne and Anthony; and a half brother Bruce Brooks.
Calling hours are Friday, November 11, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
