Vincent D. Popoli passed away on January 15th 2025 at home in Hudson. He was the son of the late Mary T. McCloskey and Anthony Popoli. Vincent was born July 19th 1949 in New York City and attended schools in the Bronx. Throughout his life he was employed in contracting and construction. He also worked in ceramics and other business ventures. Vincent was especially fond of Jazz and Blues music. He lived in Hudson NY and formerly lived in the Bronx and Copake NY where he had a home.
Vincent is survived by his sister Victoria D’Elia and niece Marisa, her husband Chris Brown and their daughter Ariella and son Asher of Jacksonville, Florida, And by his aunt Margaret Perone of Florida, and uncle Jerome and aunt Josie McCloskey of Long Island. Cousins James McCloskey, John and Christine McCloskey, Jennifer and Kevin Donnely and Victoria and Max Sweetman, Paulette and Mesrop Varol of Florida, Donna, Bob and Shannon Flynn of Stormville NY, Deena and Eric and Simone Swart of Connecticut, Harold and Lynn Gubler of Stratford NY. Steven and Patrick Gubler of Copake NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00am on May 7th from Our Lady of Hope Parish, 8074 State Route 22, Copake Falls NY. A time to gather will begin at 10:00am. Interment will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Peck and Peck Funeral Homes, Copake, NY.
