Peter E. Langton Sr., of Hudson, a devoted family man, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Schodack, New York, at the age of 69. Born on August 13, 1956, in New York, and growing up on Long Island, Peter's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his passionate commitment to his work.
Throughout his career, Peter served as a truck driver, fireman, and EMT, roles that showcased his giving nature and commitment to helping others. He was known for his loving kindness and was a great dad who always put his children first, he would go without to ensure they had everything they needed. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, which he nurtured with dedication and love.
Peter found joy in simple pleasures and cherished moments spent outdoors, waking up early for beach days in Long Island, barbecuing with family and friends, camping on weekends, and enjoying leisure times driving while smoking a cigar and sipping coffee. His fondness for racing and wrestling also added a vibrant hue to his personal interests.
Peter is survived by his sons, Peter Langton Jr. and Jonathan Langton, along with his daughter, Florence Langton. And Brother's George and Michael Langton. His legacy of love and commitment will undoubtedly continue through them.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamala K. (Jones) Langton, ex-wife, Eva Meister, and his parents, George and Jeannette (Staffner) Langton, as well as , leaving behind a family that will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
A graveside service will be held in honor of Peter E Langton Sr. on February 2, 2026, at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson, New York. The graveside service will begin at 1 PM. As friends and family gather to pay their respects, they will celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.
