Chad William Dickinson, of Pine Plains, New York, passed away at home on October 27, 2026. Born on April 19, 1978, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Chad will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking nature, and the simple joys in life that meant the most to him.
Chad attended BOCES and went on to pursue a career in carpentry with the Carpenters Union. His love for building and working with his hands began at a young age, when he could often be found with a hammer and nails, eager to create something of his own. What started as a childhood interest became a lifelong passion and a career he took pride in.
Beyond his work, Chad found his greatest happiness in the moments spent with those he loved. Whether he was camping, cooking a good meal, or simply enjoying time surrounded by family, he appreciated the little things that made life special. His children and grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart, and the memories they made together will forever be cherished.
Family meant so much to Chad, and he leaves behind many loved ones who will carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his daughter, Phairah (Charles) Machia; his sons, Qorii (Cassandra Danna) Dickinson and Caleb Enes; and his beloved grandchildren, Qorii Jr., Payton, and Caleb, who brought him tremendous joy.
He is also survived by his parents, William Dickinson, Sr. and Dolores Dickinson; his brothers, William (Jennifer) Dickinson, Jr. and George (Courtney) Dickinson; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friends Andrea MacArthur, Jessica Serrotore, Bella Serrotore, Sonya Knutson, and Maria Enes.
Chad was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Dickinson; his grandparents, Percy and Gladys Dickinson and George and Mabel Frenzel; and his favorite uncle, George Frenzel, Jr.
Although Chad’s time here ended far too soon, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will remain with those who knew him. Life wasn’t always perfect, but the moments of laughter, the family gatherings, the meals shared, and the time spent together are what will be remembered most.
Chad leaves behind more than the things he built with his hands. He leaves behind a family who loved him, memories that will bring both tears and smiles, and a place in the hearts of those who knew him that can never be replaced.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the lives he touched.
