Audrey Ann Troy passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 81 after a difficult battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born on October 27, 1944, in Rochester, New York, Audrey's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and a profound love for her family.
Audrey devoted herself to the noble profession of teaching, serving as a Biology Teacher at Conrad High School in West Hartford, Connecticut. With passion and dedication, she inspired countless students to explore the wonders of science, instilling in them a lifetime curiosity.
Audrey was known for her intelligence, cooking, and sense of humor. She volunteered her skills to design and lead interesting programs for residents at The Beverwyck Senior Living Community. During the last several years, she dedicated herself to working at the Honest Weight Food Co-op in Albany, NY.
Her academic pursuits were significant, exemplified by her attainment of a master's degree, which enabled her to refine her craft and enhance the educational experiences she offered her students.
Audrey held her family close to her heart, particularly her loving daughter, Jennifer, and her son-in-law, David Vener. She had a deep love for her grandchildren, Sarah, Leah, and Rachael. She kept them well-fed and entertained. She cherished her sister, Carol Tims, and laughed with her about the childhood memories they shared.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Minnie (Briskin) Rothstein, and her brother, Ronnie Rothstein.
