Anna Maria Platé, 87, peacefully departed this life on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born on November 5, 1937 in Pradovera , Piacenza, Italy. The daughter of the late Carlo and Teresa (Maschi) Boglioli. Anna Maria lived a life enriched by her unwavering dedication to her family.

On January 18, 1955, Anna Maria married her beloved husband, the late Carlo Platé. Together, they laid the foundation for a family that would blossom and thrive in their new homeland. In 1966, Anna Maria, along with her husband and children, embarked on a momentous journey, immigrating to the United States and settling in New York City and later Pine Plains, New York. It was here that Anna Maria continued to nurture and provide for her family, embracing various roles and responsibilities throughout her life.

A woman of remarkable talents, Anna Maria found joy in gardening. Her passion for knitting was particularly celebrated, as she crafted the warmest socks for her family, legendary for their comfort and durability—a testament to her warmth and care. One of her favorite pastimes was listening to and dancing to Val Taro / Val Trebia Italian accordion music with her husband Carlo. Sunday afternoons were dedicated to family dinners, with music and dancing. She always looked forward to celebrating her birthday with family and friends at Magnanini Winery, dancing the afternoon away.

Anna Maria's greatest pride was in her children and grandchildren, whom she adored fiercely. She is survived by her cherished children, Paul (Gladys Christina) Platé, Elsa (Frank) Patti, Bruno (Laura) Platé, and Nando Platé. Her ten adoring grandchildren: Christina (Sal) Frasca, Gina (Michael) Luterzo, John (Kayleigh) Plate', Anthony Plate', Michael (Samantha) Plate', MaryAnna Plate', Carli Plate', Anthony (Camille) Pepe, Thomas (Cheryl) Pepe and Joseph (Jenn) Hunt. Her great-grandchildren, Antonio Carlo Pepe, Isabella Violet Pepe, Victor Paolo Pepe, Salvatore Carlo Frasca, Max Hunt and Elena Hunt . She is also survived by her two brothers, Aldo (Ines) Boglioli, Valentino (Gianna) Boglioli , plus many nieces and nephews in Italy

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carlo, in 1997, and her brother, Giovanni Boglioli.

Family and friends are invited to share memories and offer condolences on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains, NY 12567. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on October 14, 2025 from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Pine Plains. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna Maria's name may be made to either the Dutchess County SPCA or to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church.
