Sophia Honey (Muller) Meriam

Mount Ross, NY – Sophia C. “Honey” Meriam, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Arch Care at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck, NY.

She was born on March 28, 1927 in Rhinebeck, NY the daughter of John D. and Anna R. (Kruse) Muller.

Honey was an aid for the Pine Plains Central School District.

On May 19, 1962 in Gallatin, NY she married Fred W. “Buddy” Meriam.  He survives her at home.

Survivors include her husband, Fred W. “Buddy” Meriam, a son F. Michael Meriam of Schoharie, NY; two sisters, Margaret Gillis of Red Hook, NY; Martha Ball and her husband Todd of Pine Plains, NY; three grandsons, Colton, Ashton and Clayton Meriam, several nieces and newphews.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother John D. Muller Jr., a brother-in-law Francis Gillis and a sister-in-law, Wilma Meriam Bentzen. .

Calling hours are Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at Peck & Peck Funeral Home 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 12 Noon from the funeral home with Rev. James Miller officiating.

Interment will be private.
