Robert H. Mizgier

Pine Plains, NY – Robert H. Mizgier, 74, passed away on Friday, September 1st at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.

He was born on July 13, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Howard and Margaret (Potter) Mizgier.

Mr. Mizgier worked for McLean Ford in Millerton, NY.

He served with United States Army during the Vietnam era.

Mr. Mizgier was captain of Fire police and treasurer of Pine Plains Hose Company. He has served for over thirty three years in the fire service. A member of the Dutchess County Fire Police Assoc. Also a member of the National America Legion.

On March 26, 1972 in Greenport, NY he married Karen E. (Hines) Mizgier. She survives him at home.

In addition to his loving wife Karen, survivors include three children, Kelly Mizgier, Robert M. Mizgier and wife Coleen and Kurt Mizgier and wife Debbie. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours are 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday September 5th at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 6th, at the funeral home with Rev. Carol Miller officiating.

Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
