Marion E. (Clum) Westfall

Gallatin, NY – Marion E. Westfall, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at home.

She was born on April 5, 1920 in Pine Plains, NY the daughter of Ellsworth and Nina (Turbarg) Clum.

Marion along with her husband Benjamin owned and operated two farms in the townships of Ancram and Copake.  

She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. Family and friends were very important to her; and she enjoyed challenging them to a game of pool, cards or a good old-fashioned game of dominos.

Marion was known for her no bake cookies, her nut candy and nut whirl and the strongest coffee in town. 

On April 5, 1941 in Pine Plains, NY she married Benjamin Westfall. He predeceased her on November 22, 1991.

Survivors include her three sons, Sherwood (Veda), Wayne and Martin (Patricia); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

“Fluff” as she was affectionately nicknamed was a Mother figure to many.

She was predeceased by two sons, Douglas and Raymond Westfall; a daughter, Cynthia E. Westfall; two brothers, Alden and William Clum and a sister, Nina Eighmie.

There are no calling hours or funeral service.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
