Kathryn Thorpe Obituary
Pine Plains, NY – Kathryn “Dolly” Thorpe, 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck, NY.
She was born on April 17, 1935 in West Taghkanic, NY the daughter of Earl and Beulah (Coon) Tomkins.
Mrs. Thorpe worked at ITW in Lakeville, CT for many years.
Her passion was her family. She loved to be surrounded by her children.
Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Schmitz and her husband Peter; Anne Thorpe and her fiancé Stephen Hirsch; six grandchildren, Tom, Stephanie, Dan, Rita, Brittney, Erica and ten great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Thorpe Jr. on January 29, 1987, a son, David Thorpe on February 14, 1975 and a sister Betty Swartz.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, February 1st at Evergreen Cemetery, 50 North Main St. Pine Plains, with Vicar Jackie Jefferson officiating.
