JoAnn M. (VanDerBiesen) Kromer

Martindale, NY – JoAnn M. Kromer, 77, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.

She was born on February 16, 1941in Hudson, NY the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Snow) VanDerBiesen.

   She loved her family dearly, enjoy gardening and canning. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She was a wonderful cook, baker and was an avid reader.

JoAnn was a secretary for the 20th Century Block Plant in Claverack, NY.

On November 7, 1959 at United Methodist Church in Philmont, NY she married Hugh C. Kromer. He survivors her at home.  

In addition to her loving husband Hugh, survivors include her son Hugh J. V. Kromer and his wife Elizabeth of Claverack, NY; two grandchildren, Brittney and Hugh Matthew; a great grandchild, Marshall Alexander and a sister, Jeanette Wildermuth of Williamstown, MA.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy VanDerBiesen.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 26th at 11 AM from the Peck & Peck Funeral Home 8063 Rte. 22 Copake, NY.

Interment will follow at the Hillsdale Rural Cemetery.
