Gino Peter Bartolomeo

January 17, 1953 ~ March 9, 2018 (age 65)

Gino Peter Bartolomeo, 65, passed away peacefully on, March 9, 2018, after a short, and unexpected illness surrounded by loved ones.

Gino was born on January 17, 1953, in Sharon, CT, the son of Frank & Rosina Bartolomeo of Pine Plains, NY, and grew up in a loving home with his father and mother, Frank and Rosina, brothers, Joe (Linda, Marie), Fran, Bobby (Eileen), Dick (Marian), Billy (Dawn) and Charlie (Laurel), and sister, Ceil. Together they worked in their family business, Frank’s Service Center.

In high school, Gino discovered his passion for baseball and basketball, earning the nickname, ‘Pistol Pete from 30 Feet’. He received several athletic records and awards that still grace the halls of Pine Plains High School today.

For over 40 years, Gino would service businesses and residences of Dutchess County with his self-owned air condition and refrigeration business Cold Energy Refrigeration while running a part-time ice service with close friend Gordon Keeler.

While Gino found interest in restoring WWII era Jeeps, his greatest passion would be for music; forming the rock group Sole Distributor, with brother Charlie, and friend Gary Keeler, and later The Gospel Truth with Doug Shook, George Frick, and son Matt.

On September 8, 1978, in Pine Plains, NY, Gino chose family over career and married his high school sweetheart, and best friend, Suzan Rosenquist. Together they enjoy 40 years of marriage and family with children Matt and Corina, in the cabin they built together.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Suzan, his two children, Matt (Jennifer), and Corina (Tyson); two grandchildren, Caiti and Mikey, his brothers and sister, and his many close friends and extended family.
