George Reilly Obituary

George Reilly, 75 of Copake NY passed away on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany, NY.

 

He was born on September 19, 1943 in Mahopac, NY the son of Dora (Simmons) Seaver of Copake, NY and the late Bernard Reilly.

 

George had been a dairy farmer in Patterson, NY until his retirement due to disability. He was one to help anyone in need, no matter what the circumstances.

 

Survivors include his mother of Copake, two daughters, Deborah Ashby of Ancram and Brenda Reilly of Hudson along with a son, George Reilly Jr. of Kingston. George also is survived by his only granddaughter, Erin Ashby of Ancram. He also leaves his siblings, Trudy Gildersleeve of Castleton NY, Catherine Bromiley of Knightdale, NC, Bernard (Charlotte) Reilly of Augusta, GA, David (Martha) Reilly of Knightdale, NC and Joe Reilly of Newburgh.

 

He was pre deceased by his father Bernard, sister Jane Monteleone, son in law Dale Ashby and granddaughter Amber Ashby.

 

Friends are invited and may call on Sunday October 21, 2018 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 22, 2018 at 11:00AM from the funeral home with Vicar Jackie Jefferson of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ancram officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Copake Cemetery.
