Donna Marie (Brancaccio) Segschneider

Donna Marie Segschneider, 63, wife of Gustave R. Segschneider Jr., of Hillsdale, NY passed away tragically on April 7, 2018 during a car accident.  Donna was born on October 31, 1954 in Corona, NY; she was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Bertha Brancaccio.

Donna was a well-known and active member of the community spending years volunteering at school functions, presiding as president of the PTA and partaking in town events.  Many knew Donna as the proprietor of Mountain Video or were greeted by her smiling face during her tenure at the Department of Motor Vehicles.  Between the two she held a number of positions in and around Columbia County, including realtor with Beach & Bartolo, substitute teacher at Taconic Hills Central School, dispatcher for 911 at the county sheriff’s office, videographer of weddings and events and teller at Hudson River Bank & Trust.  Donna’s first job at Xerox led her to meet her husband of 40 years, Gus Segschneider, and the two were on their way to celebrate their April 8th anniversary before the accident.  

Donna is survived by her husband Gustave, their three children; Jaime D’Aquino, Gustave Segschneider III & Heather Segschneider, in addition to her son in law John D’Aquino, future daughter in law Jennifer Kaspin and her first ever grandchild, due in August.  She was also one of six children and is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Kossack, Joseph & Sabrina Brancaccio, Vincent & Barbara Brancaccio, Richard & JoAnn Brancaccio and Theresa & Kurt Hansen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Gus remains in the ICU at this time.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for a viewing on Tuesday, April 24th from 3pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm at McVeigh FUNERAL HOME located at 208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
