Mary Ann was an extraordinary woman. She loved her children with every part of her heart and soul. When someone she loved was hurt, Mary Ann experienced the totality of the pain, and then transformed it into strength & courage to fight against systems and expose abuse. She was a pioneer, a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, a Teacher. Rest in Peace Mary Ann.

Dear Marion, Dave and family,

I am so sorry that your mom passed. I am sure she is smiling down on you, as she always has! I remember her as a very kind and lively mom and it was always great to be around her. And that means something to a teenage kid! It is by chance that I saw this today as I typically do not look at the obituaries so I guess I was meant to see this and reach out to you. I wish I could be there for you on Monday, however, I'm still in Maryland. Please know I'm thinking of you and would love to see you. I will say some prayers for you and the rest of your great family.

RIP Mary Anne. Lots of fond memories of times in Copake. So glad you started S.E.S.E.M.E. A much needed organization. So glad to have known you.
