Agnes R. VonAncken

Agnes R. VonAncken, age 106 of Yonderview Rd. in Hillsdale, NY passed peacefully at home on Wednesday April 26, 2017.

She was born on March 21, 1911 in Elmont, NY daughter of Charles and Rose (Heineke) Weber.

Mrs. VonAncken had been a local resident since 1974 and was a longtime communicant of St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church and the newly formed Parish of Our Lady of Hope in Copake Falls, NY.

Along with her family she owned and operated a family delicatessen in Queens Village, NY but was most proud of being a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Agnes was pre deceased by her husband Charles in 1970, a son John Von Ancken and a brother Charles Weber.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Lueken of Poughquag, NY and son and daughter in law, William and Jean VonAncken of Hillsdale, NY. She also leaves her grandchildren and their spouses, Laura McAlonen (Kevin), Melissa Short (Brad), Christa Beneke, (Chris), Melinda Rubenstein (Marc), Adam VonAncken (Cheralee) and Curtis VonAncken (Angela). In addition, her 14 great grandchildren, Jordan, Kristin and Jared McAlonen; Kayla, Thomas and Jake Short; Billy and Bryan Beneke; Anna, Kyra and Maks Rubenstein; Emmett and Bennett VonAncken and Marissa VonAncken.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope in Copake Falls, NY.

Friends are invited and may call on Sunday April 30, 2017 from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY.

Interment will follow in the St. Bridget's Cemetery.
